ARCH ENEMY to Release Mini-DVD: Producer
March 30, 2004Metal producer extraordinaire Andy Sneap (ARCH ENEMY, NEVERMORE, OPETH, MACHINE HEAD, SKINLAB) has posted the following update on his web site:
"New studio is working out great, things have been pretty constant and just finished new KILLSWITCH ENGAGE album. Did the new BLAZE album at the start of the year, first project at the new studio and for saying the whole thing was done in 3 weeks, I'm very happy with the end results. Not done an album as quick as that for a long time.
"Adam from KILLSWITCH came over for the mix, always a good laugh with that pink panther, camper than Graham Norton cross bred with John Inman on crack, we spent meal times searching the local area for the hottest Chicken Phal known to man. 7 curries in 9 days later, we have to say the Mogul E Azam in Nottingham won hands down. It was a vicious competition, with myself and Scott from STAMPIN' GROUND flying the flag for the UK. Adam tried ordering bread, which is a very underhand method of cheating, but it has to be said the boy did well, very impressive speed eating technique, finishing before both Scott and I. Adam was noticeably sweating whilst it was noted I was having trouble breathing during the final moments, kidney pains were noted by all three contestants the following day. All that being said, I feel the album's come out great, usually I can't listen to an album for a few months after finishing, but I'm enjoying this one so it has to be a good sign.
"Also mixed THE MORE I SEE for my old friend Gizz Butt (ENGLISH DOGS, JANUS STARK, PRODIGY) and German band CALIBAN. Had a quick trip to Paris a couple of weeks ago to record ARCH ENEMY for a mini DVD that I think is coming out world wide....I know definitely Japan. I'm mixing that this next week along with 3 cover versions they recorded a couple of months ago."
